Adobe Flash Security Risk

Adobe has announced the presence of a zero day attack on their Flash platform that would allow an attacker to completely take over a system. A zero day attack means Adobe has no prior warning of the attack, and there is no patch yet. The attack works through Flash, so this hits Windows, Linux, and Mac OS. Also affected is Adobe Reader, as it can play Flash content. No word on whether this affects their mobile platform. Still, people with Flash on their Android phones may want to be careful as well.
Flash is one of the biggest holes in internet security. Fortunately, I use ClickToFlash on my Mac, which means only Flash I want to run can run. I recommend this for anyone, as Flash is not only a security problem, it also can wear on your battery life.
