Today, iPhone users with iOS 4 may have been disappointed to find that non-recurring alarms didn’t alert them at the designated time. Apple has assured users that their alarms will work on the 3rd, and a temporary fix would be to make all alarms recurring.
Yet how could such a simple application, an alarm clock, malfunction like this? This isn’t the first time Apple’s alarm app has malfunctioned this year. Earlier, when daylight savings time ended, users found their alarms would be an hour or so off.
As someone who regularly uses his iPhone as an alarm clock, I may be forced to reconsider. How something as simple and vital as a clock app could malfunction like this twice within a few months is beyond me.
