Drama over “Bendgate” isn’t over just yet, apparently. Despite Consumer Reports doing testing that showed the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus were very strong, people have continued to look for fault in Apple’s designs. The latest claim is that Apple has changed the way the iPhones are built to make it stronger. The evidence was a 0.8 gram difference in weight from an earlier iPhone. However, these claims were quickly put to rest when a source withing Apple pointed out that this is a completely normal variation in weight between two devices. In fact, any two iPhones could have as much as a 1.5 gram difference in weight.
So, no, Apple hasn’t done anything to strengthen the iPhone 6 or iPhone 6 Plus. They don’t need to.
